The Cliffs at Walnut Cove

A huge retaining wall supports this patio and fire pit. A formal cap provides seating for guests. The background to the fire pit was inspired by the artwork of David Allen of Stone Point Studios. He creates these incredibly cool portals, so we borrowed the idea for this particular project, with the artist’s permission.

There’s an image of paper on the floor in the gallery below. It’s a full sized template of the fire ring. I like to use full sized templates whenever I can. It’s so much easier to see and solve problems at full size, than in some tiny scaled down operation.

Notes:
I love images of stone work laid out in the back of a truck. I just do, so those photos are included in the gallery.
