Flagstone Paths & Patios
This balcony floor is made of Pennsylvania bluestone that I fabricated in my shop. See the whole project and process here.
This flagstone path is made of Tennessee sandstone. It is built on a bed of pea gravel; no mortar was used. I completed this project while employed by the Unturned Stone, Inc.
Paving bricks and sandstone flagging combine in this drystone patio to create a very striking looking feature at the entrance of an Asheville spa.
This drystone patio is made of a blend of stones local to the mountains of North Carolina. Stone dust is swept into the joints to solidify the surface. I completed this project while employed by the Unturned Stone, Inc.
This walkway is built of reclaimed material found by the homeowner and myself. A slate roof tile, broken and stacked on edge (and mashed down to soften sharp edges) adds an interesting texture to the piece.
